Deputy Sheriff

Making the decision to do an internship with the Banks County Sheriff’s Office was one of the best decisions I made for myself and my future. I was able to learn first-hand what goes into each aspect of this career; not what is depicted on TV shows or social media. While completing my internship, I was able to build relationships with people that work for the agency and that gave me a lot of extra support when I decided to take the next step and start my career. Whether you’re an intern or someone that has been working at the agency for 10 years, they make you feel like family.

Investigator

Being that first Intern in Banks County history was a big learning experience for all involved. I learned a lot in such little time but had a great time doing it. When I come to work here, it felt like I was one of the family! I was welcomed by all, and it helped even more knowing everyone already.

From Intern to Investigator, oh how time files when you work at a place like this!

Detention Officer

I enjoyed getting real life experiences of the field that college classes don’t always offer. It helped me build confidence and get a better idea of what working in the criminal justice field is actually like. Everyone at BSCO was very open to sharing their experiences, ideas, and testimonies which made me feel welcome.

My experience as an intern inspired me to begin my career at the BCSO. I’m grateful to be surrounded by such a dependable team. BSCO offers an amazing internship experience for those who are looking to meet some great criminal justice professionals and prepare for a career in criminal justice.
