Logan's Law
The Banks County Sheriff's Office is pleased to announce the establishment of the Logan's Law database. This voluntary database is designed to assist first responders in delivering more compassionate care by alerting them to any specific needs, triggers, or challenges that may affect individuals with special needs or mental disabilities.
Logan's Law (HB 631)
Voluntary Database
Logan's Law enables 911 dispatchers to inform medical, fire, and law enforcement responders of someone who may have physical or mental difficulties or other needs. By participating, residents can ensure that emergency personnel are better prepared to provide informed and sensitive assistance.
In emergencies, knowing how to respond to someone with autism, Alzheimer’s, epilepsy, sensory issues, or other conditions can be lifesaving.

Logan’s Law bridges that communication gap quickly and respectfully.

The database is maintained by Banks County E911 and is accessible only in emergency situations. Participation is voluntary, and all information is handled with the utmost confidentiality.
